The multimarginal optimal transport formulation of adversarial multiclass classification

Nicolas Garcia Trillos et al.

Summary: This study examines a family of adversarial multiclass classification problems and provides equivalent reformulations using two different approaches. The results reveal the geometric structure of these problems and extend previous findings in binary classification. Furthermore, computational implications suggest that our solutions can recover optimal classification rules and adversarial strategies for the original problem.

Well-posedness and numerical schemes for one-dimensional McKean-Vlasov equations and interacting particle systems with discontinuous drift

Gunther Leobacher et al.

Summary: In this paper, we establish well-posedness results for one-dimensional McKean-Vlasov SDEs and related particle systems with a measure-dependent drift coefficient (discontinuous in the spatial component) and a diffusion coefficient which is a Lipschitz function of the state. We also study Euler-Maruyama type schemes for approximating the solution of the SDE, and prove strong convergence results in terms of the number of time-steps and particles.

Linearization of nonlinear Fokker-Planck equations and applications

Panpan Ren et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the relationship between a coupled nonlinear Fokker-Planck equation and a linear Fokker-Planck equation on the space of probability measures. Through the use of a natural tangent bundle and a corresponding gradient operator, the coupled equation is transformed into a linear Kolmogorov operator. The diffusion process generated by this operator is shown to be intrinsically related to the solution of a McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equation. The paper also explores the well-posedness and Markov property of the equations, and applies the results to the study of nonlinear distorted Brownian motion and Schrodinger type PDEs.

A numerical scheme for stochastic differential equations with distributional drift

Tiziano De Angelis et al.

Summary: In this paper, we introduce a numerical scheme for solving one-dimensional stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with drift in a fractional Sobolev space of negative regularity. We obtain a convergence rate in a suitable L1-norm, and as a result, a convergence rate for numerical schemes applied to SDEs with drift in Lp-spaces.

A Wong-Zakai theorem for SDEs with singular drift

Chengcheng Ling et al.

Summary: This study investigates stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with multiplicative Stratonovich-type noise. By smoothing the noise and the singular drift simultaneously, these SDEs can be approximated by random ordinary differential equations. Moreover, a support theorem for this class of SDEs is proven using the Girsanov theorem.

Distribution dependent SDEs driven by additive continuous noise

Lucio Galeati et al.

Summary: This article studies distribution dependent stochastic differential equation driven by a continuous process, without any specification on its law, following the approach initiated in [17]. Several criteria for existence and uniqueness of solutions beyond the classical globally Lipschitz setting are provided. In particular, well-posedness of the equation and almost sure convergence of the associated particle system are shown for drifts satisfying either Osgood-continuity, monotonicity, local Lipschitz or Sobolev differentiability type assumptions.

A Zvonkin's transformation for stochastic differential equations with singular drift and applications

Shao-Qin Zhang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a new Zvonkin-type transformation and Krylov's estimate are established for stochastic differential equations with singular and Lipschitz drifts, providing theoretical support. Additionally, dimension-free Harnack inequalities are established for stochastic equations with Holder continuous diffusion coefficient and singular drift term.

Well-posedness of distribution dependent SDEs with singular drifts

Summary: This paper discusses a distribution dependent SDE, showing the strong well-posedness under integrability assumptions in the spatial variable and Lipschitz continuity in mu about b and sigma. The results extend those of Krylov-Rockner to the distribution dependent case.

MCKEAN-VLASOV SDES WITH DRIFTS DISCONTINUOUS UNDER WASSERSTEIN DISTANCE

Summary: Existence and uniqueness are proved for McKean-Vlasov type distribution dependent SDEs with singular drifts satisfying integrability and Lipschitz conditions. These results improve upon existing ones derived for drifts continuous in the distribution variable with respect to the Wasserstein distance.
