Acute effects of dynamic versus foam rolling warm-up strategies on physical performance in elite tennis players

Alvaro Lopez-Samanes et al.

Summary: This study compared the effects of dynamic warm-up and self-myofascial release with foam rolling on neuromuscular variables associated with tennis performance. It was found that dynamic warm-up was more effective in reducing agility test time, while both warm-up protocols had similar effects on vertical jump and sprint time. Therefore, dynamic exercises should be included in the warm-up for high-performance tennis players.
