Whispering: Joint Service Offloading and Computation Reuse in Cloud-Edge Networks

Boubakr Nour et al.

Summary: In this paper, a model called Whispering is proposed for migrating services from the cloud to the edge to optimize task completion time and improve resource utilization. Experimental results show that Whispering can reduce task completion times by 35% to 97% compared to executing tasks exclusively at the edge or the cloud.
