A colorimetric and fluorometric molecular system for discriminative detection of palladium acetate and CO cell imaging

Xinkuo Fang et al.

Summary: A novel fluorophore NAP-PMA was developed for detecting palladium cation and CO-related reactions. It exhibited good selectivity, high sensitivity, and low detection limit, and could be potentially used for real-time monitoring of CO-involved reactions in biological systems.

Colorimetric analysis of palladium using thiocarbamate hydrolysis and its application for detecting residual palladium in drugs

Myung Gil Choi et al.

Summary: In this research, a practical colorimetric method for analyzing residual palladium ions in drugs and drug intermediates was reported. The method utilized a chlororhodol-based probe that exhibited strong colorimetric and fluorescence signaling in the presence of palladium. The selective signaling was achieved through the hydrolysis of a protecting moiety by palladium. The method showed sensitivity towards different oxidation states of palladium and could be applied in the presence of interfering chemical species.

Convenient office scanner-based Au3+ analysis using dual signaling of resorufin dimethylthiocarbamate

Myung Gil Choi et al.

Summary: A new office-scanner-based colorimetric and fluorescent method for Au3+ determination was developed using the Au3+-induced hydrolysis of resorufin dimethylthiocarbamate probe GP-1. GP-1 showed selective and rapid responses towards Au3+ ions, with no interference from common metal ions or oxidants. The analytical response was achieved in less than 10 minutes with a limit of detection of 8.0 x 10(-8) M (16 ppb), providing a convenient and efficient approach for Au3+ analysis.
