Mineralogical Studies of Mahanadi Basin coals based on FTIR, XRD and Microscopy: A Geological Perspective

Techniques such as X-Ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy are used for rapid characterization. The chief mineral phases include quartz, kaolinite, orthoclase, muscovite, and chlorite in increasing abundance.
