Plant Growth Promoting Actinobacteria, the Most Promising Candidates as Bioinoculants?

Zineb Faiza Boukhatem et al.

Summary: Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria (PGPBs) are important allies for sustainable agriculture, offering an alternative to chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Actinobacterial microbes have been increasingly studied for their ability to promote plant growth in the past two decades. This review summarizes the articles on Actinobacteria's PGP traits, highlighting the involved mechanisms, revealing their potential as microbial fertilizers, and discussing possible strategies to encourage their use as bioinoculants.
