Pregnancy complications among refugee women: A systematic review

Summary: This systematic literature review aimed to investigate whether refugee women have a higher prevalence of adverse pregnancy outcomes and prenatal infections compared with native women. The results show that refugees have an increased risk of stillbirth and spontaneous abortion, but a decreased risk of preeclampsia compared to native women. Further research is needed to understand and reduce disparities in pregnancy outcomes between refugee and non-refugee women.

Are Syrian refugees at high risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes? A comparison study in a tertiary center in Turkey
