An Arrhythmia Classification Model Based on Vision Transformer with Deformable Attention

Yanfang Dong et al.

Summary: The electrocardiogram (ECG) is a non-invasive tool for monitoring heart activity and diagnosing cardiovascular diseases. Deep learning methods have been used for arrhythmia classification based on ECG, but the current transformer-based neural networks have limited performance for multi-lead ECG. In this study, a model called CNN-DVIT is proposed, which combines convolutional neural networks with deformable attention in a vision transformer structure. The model achieved good performance in automatic arrhythmia detection and can support doctors in clinical ECG analysis.

Atrial fibrillation

Bianca J. J. M. Brundel et al.

Summary: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia and is increasing in prevalence. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying AF is crucial for the development of personalized diagnostic tools and mechanism-based therapies. Co-creation with patients is essential for successful management of AF.
