PrMnO3 porous nanostructures: Synthesis and structural, optical and magnetic properties

C. J. Aguilar et al.

Summary: Porous nanostructures of PrMnO3 were synthesized using the sol-gel method with different solvents, ethanol and ethylene glycol. The choice of solvent was found to significantly affect the properties of PrMnO3, and the magnetic behavior of the nanostructures also varied with temperature.

Enhanced photocatalytic activity, transport properties and electronic structure of Mn doped GdFeO3 synthesized using the sol-gel process

Ritwik Maity et al.

Summary: In this study, Mn doped GdFeO3 nanoparticles were synthesized using a green sol-gel method, and their properties including optical, vibrational, and electrical aspects were investigated. The doping of Mn resulted in a reduction of the band gap and enhancement of the photocatalytic efficiency. The presence of multiple oxidation states of Fe and Mn in the materials was revealed, affecting the conductivity and oxidation/reduction efficiency at the surface of the catalyst.
