Sergey M. Kuzmin et al.

Summary: Polymer films based on 2H-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3-aminophenyl)porphyrin have been successfully prepared and their catalytic activity in the oxygen electroreduction reaction has been demonstrated. The films exhibit a potential pathway for O-2 reduction and have the potential to be promising catalysts.

Thin films of Zn-Tetrakis(4-Hydroxyphenyl) Porphyrin: Formation, morphology and electrochemical properties

Svetlana A. Chulovskaya et al.

Summary: This study presents the results of obtaining polyporphyrin Zn-tetrakis(4-hydroxyphenyl)porphyrin films by superoxide-assisted electrochemical deposition. The study determines the potential ranges where the poly-porphyrin film is formed and proposes mechanisms for the formation of radical porphyrin species. The data obtained by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy show changes in charge transfer resistance and electrical double layer capacitance during film formation. The study also investigates the porphyrin binding in the polymer using Raman spectroscopy and examines the microrelief and thickness of the films using atomic force microscopy. The specific conductivity calculation indicates that the films are typical of semiconductors. The spectroelectrochemical method is used to study the RedOx processes of the porphyrin moieties in the films at low potentials.
