MCAFNet: A Multiscale Channel Attention Fusion Network for Semantic Segmentation of Remote Sensing Images

Min Yuan et al.

Summary: In this article, a multiscale hierarchical channel attention fusion network model based on a transformer and CNN is proposed, named MCAFNet. The proposed method utilizes a global-local transformer block to handle image details and extract global image features better. A channel attention optimization module and a fusion module are added in the decoder module to better integrate high- and low-dimensional feature maps, enhancing the network's ability to obtain small-scale semantic information. Experimental results on ISPRS Vaihingen and Potsdam datasets demonstrate the competitive performance of MCAFNet compared to mainstream methods.

Land-Cover Classification With High-Resolution Remote Sensing Images Using Interactive Segmentation

Leilei Xu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a semi-automatic auxiliary scheme for land cover classification using an interactive segmentation network. The scheme classifies images using CNN in a patch-wise manner, and guides the model for segmentation task through user-clicks. Different interactive modules are introduced for better integration of features at different scales. The experimental results show that the interactive segmentation method outperforms the previous semantic segmentation method, providing a reference for semi-automatic land cover mapping.

MFVNet: a deep adaptive fusion network with multiple field-of-views for remote sensing image semantic segmentation

Yansheng Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a new deep adaptive fusion network with multiple FOVs for RSI semantic segmentation. The network utilizes pyramid sampling to obtain images on different scales with multiple FOVs and then aligns and fuses the feature maps and score maps to obtain the fused prediction. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms previous state-of-the-art semantic segmentation models on three typical RSI datasets, indicating its effectiveness.

A hybrid deep convolutional neural network for accurate land cover classification

Naftaly Wambugu et al.

Summary: Land cover classification provides crucial information for agricultural investigation, urban management, and disaster monitoring. However, it is a challenging task due to high intra-class disparities, low inter-class similarities, and various image variation types. Advances in sensor technology have improved the spatial-spectral, radiometric, and temporal resolutions of images, offering valuable opportunities for understanding land cover information. The proposed cascaded residual dilated network (CRD-Net) has achieved outstanding performance in land cover classification, surpassing state-of-the-art methods with high overall accuracy on different datasets.
