Tribological and surface morphological characteristics of titanium alloys: a review

Munish Kumar Gupta et al.

Summary: Grade titanium and its alloys are important choices for the automotive, biomedical, and aerospace industries due to their easy fabrication, weldability, biocompatibility, high strength-to-weight ratio, high temperature resistance, and low modulus of elasticity. However, the tribological and surface morphological characteristics of Ti-6Al-4V alloy are limited. Various attempts and studies have been conducted to enhance these properties.

Three-dimensional simulation and experimental investigation of electrolyte jet machining with the inclined nozzle

Weidong Liu et al.

Summary: This study developed a three-dimensional multiphysics model of the stationary EJM process accounting for two-phase flow field and electric field and conducted experiments for validation. The inclined nozzle resulted in uneven distribution of flow velocity and thickness of electrolyte film, causing non-circular hydraulic jump and non-axisymmetric anodic current density distribution.
