Use of bacterial isolates in the treatment of textile dye wastewater: A review

Senelisile Moyo et al.

Summary: The textile industry generates a significant amount of water pollution through the use of dyes, which are often discharged into water bodies. However, bacteria isolated from dye-contaminated sources have shown the ability to degrade and decolourize these dye pollutants, thus improving water quality. This review also discusses the latest wastewater treatment technologies that incorporate bacterial microorganisms for treating dye wastewater.
