Does Health Consciousness Matter to Adopt New Technology? An Integrated Model of UTAUT2 With SEM-fsQCA Approach

Sohaib Mustafa et al.

Summary: This study proposed a comprehensive model based on the UTAUT2 model to explore the factors influencing consumers' decision-making on technology adoption, specifically for 5G technology. Using a Structural Equation Modeling-fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis approach, the study found that health-consciousness attitude and behavioral intention significantly predicted and mediated the adoption of 5G technology. The study provided practical implications for stakeholders and contributed to the literature on technology adoption.

Psychological Drivers of Individual Differences in Risk Perception: A Systematic Case Study Focusing on 5G

Renato Frey

Summary: This study investigated the drivers of people's perceptions of novel risks and found that hazard-related factors such as trust and dread, as well as person-specific factors like electromagnetic hypersensitivity, were closely associated with risk perceptions and predictive of policy-related attitudes. An experiment based on a national expert report on 5G highlighted the links between changes in psychological drivers and perceived risk, offering potential targets for future policy interventions.

Attitude toward 5G: The moderating effect of regulatory focus

Li-Keng Cheng et al.

Summary: This study examined the influence of subjective norms, 5G privacy, speed, and ubiquity on attitude toward 5G, word of mouth, and willingness to pay for 5G, using the technology acceptance model. It found that privacy had a significant negative effect on attitude toward 5G, while speed had a significant positive effect. The study also observed that attitude toward 5G fully mediated the relationships among privacy, speed, ubiquity, subjective norms, and word of mouth.
