Nicholas Folger et al.

Summary: In today's society, employees are required to have the ability of ambidexterity due to fast and unpredictable technological changes. This study, based on a survey of 739 German employees, demonstrates that those who perceive high degrees of technological turbulence exhibit high levels of ambidexterity in their work. Furthermore, the study shows that providing employees with high levels of formalization in terms of written rules, procedures, and instructions can enhance their ambidexterity.
