Photothermal synergistic catalytic oxidation of ethyl acetate over MOFs-derived mesoporous N-TiO2 supported Pd catalysts

Summary: In this study, a new material was prepared to improve the photocatalytic efficiency and reduce energy consumption in the oxidation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The material exhibited a rich pore structure and a large specific surface area, facilitating the adsorption of pollutants. Among the catalysts tested, 0.26 Pd/3.2 N-TiO2 showed the best performance. The results demonstrate that doping and loading can enhance the light absorption capacity and reaction activity of the material, leading to the generation of reactive oxygen species and the catalytic removal of pollutants.

A simple strategy to tune α-MnO2 and enhance VOC oxidation via precipitation rate control

Summary: A Cr-modified RuO2/TiO2 catalyst was fabricated and showed enhanced activity and selectivity for 1,2-dichloroethane decomposition. The presence of Cr2O3 improved the Lewis acid sites concentration and redox ability of RuO2/TiO2, promoting the deep destruction of 1,2-DCE and inhibiting the formation of byproducts. This catalyst exhibited excellent durability under simulated conditions and can be a promising candidate for industrial CVOC catalytic degradation.

Engineering CoCexZr1-x/Ni foam monolithic catalysts for ethyl acetate efficient destruction

Summary: The development of efficient monolithic catalysts for the catalytic destruction of industrial volatile organic compounds is crucial. In this study, a series of CoCexZr1-x/Ni foam monolithic catalysts were successfully prepared and applied for ethyl acetate combustion. The CoCe0.Zr-75(0).(25)-NF catalyst showed the highest activity, destroying 90% of ethyl acetate at 227 degrees C. The catalyst exhibited excellent stability and water resistance, providing important insights for the design of practical catalysts for volatile organic compounds destruction.
