Multi-gas source localization and mapping by flocking robots

Vu Phi Tran et al.

Summary: This paper presents a novel flocking control strategy for multi-robot exploration and gas field mapping, which includes an active sensing mechanism and a collaborative sequential Monte Carlo information fusion approach. The proposed strategy outperforms recent single-agent and centralized sequential Monte Carlo-based gas concentration mapping in terms of estimate accuracy, convergence time, and mapping error.

Multi-robot collaborative radioactive source search based on particle fusion and adaptive step size

Mingrun Ling et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a collaborative search method for unknown radioactive sources using multi-robot information fusion and a free energy strategy with adaptive step size. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves a search success rate of over 95%, demonstrating its high search efficiency.
