Sociality and residential environment. The case of high-rise residential buildings in Santiago de Chile

Summary: The concept of sociality refers to associative tendencies that arise in response to contingent tensions in the environment, particularly in high-rise buildings. This study in Santiago, Chile, examines the infrastructural characteristics of sociality, identifying two organizing tendencies: one abstract and speculative, the other locally made and contingent. Sociality is seen as a foundational quality in socio-technical environments, influencing community responsibility and playing a role in the governance of built environments.
