PbI6 Octahedra Stabilization Strategy Based on π-π Stacking Small Molecule Toward Highly Efficient and Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

Xianzhao Wang et al.

Summary: By building robust grain boundary modification networks and introducing conjugated structures into amides, the anchoring ability of the amides with Pb-I units can be significantly enhanced, and the passivation network with a polymer-like effect can be formed. This benzamide modification not only transforms the perovskite films from n-type to p-type by suppressing the iodine vacancy-doping effect, but also reduces defect density, ultimately resulting in longer carrier diffusion length and better charge injection efficiency for the perovskite layer.

Bulk heterojunction perovskite solar cells incorporated with p-type low optical gap conjugated polymers

Lening Shen et al.

Summary: This study presents high-performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs) based on a composite of perovskite and a low optical gap conjugated polymer. The composite film exhibits enhanced charge carrier mobility, larger crystal sizes, and suppressed non-radiation charge carrier recombination. Additionally, a photo-induced charge transfer occurs within the composite film, leading to improved power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the PSCs. The un-encapsulated PSCs also demonstrate enhanced stability and reduced photocurrent hysteresis compared to those based on pristine perovskite films.

Tailoring electric dipole of hole-transporting material p-dopants for perovskite solar cells

Jianxing Xia et al.

Summary: This study reports a new dopant, DIC-PBA, as an alternative to Li-TFSI/t-BP, which improves the stability and efficiency of perovskite solar cells. Experimental results show that DIC-PBA can effectively dope HTMs and the perovskite surface, improving interfacial charge transport and thus enhancing the stability and efficiency of the cells.

Revealing Charge Carrier Mobility and Defect Densities in Metal Halide Perovskites via Space-Charge-Limited Current Measurements

Vincent M. Le Corre et al.

Summary: Space-charge-limited current (SCLC) measurements are widely used to study charge carrier mobility and trap density in semiconductors, but their application to metal halide perovskites is complicated by the mixed ionic and electronic nature of these materials. The presence of mobile ions strongly affects the measurements, requiring a refined analysis and interpretation of SCLC. Pulsed SCLC, combined with drift-diffusion simulations, offers a reliable method for simultaneously extracting mobility, trap, and ion densities in perovskite semiconductors.
