Summary: Solvent-free nanofluids (SFNs) based on two-dimensional (2D) materials are rarely reported. This study demonstrates a general technique to convert layered double hydroxides (LDHs) into a new type of solvent-free LDHs nanofluids (LDH-F) by connecting coronacanopy species with LDHs nanosheets (LDH-NS) through covalent bonding. The LDH-F exhibits excellent dispersion properties, superior stability, and CO2 selective sorption performance.

Summary: A novel solid amine sorbent based on PEI-grafted monolithic porous carbon aerogel has been developed for efficient removal of CO2 from industrial flue gas at 313K. The porous structure of carbon aerogel enables the dispersion of PEI and the diffusion of CO2. The reasonable design of pore effect and functionalized molecular configuration of PEI-CPCa guarantees the efficient separation of CO2. With a CO2 adsorption capacity of 5.58 mmol/g and a separation coefficient of 113.1, the PEI-CPCa shows great prospects and advantages in practical industrial applications.

Summary: This study used a microwave-assisted synthesis approach to prepare an amino-functionalized Zr-based metal-organic polyhedron for the first time. The reaction time was significantly reduced, resulting in crystalline products with high yield and purity. The synthesized material exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance for the reduction of Cr(VI) under visible light irradiation. A plausible photocatalytic mechanism was proposed based on electron spin resonance measurements and radical trapping tests.

Summary: In this study, a novel bridging and fixing strategy is reported to retain the ordered arrangement of metal-organic cages (MOCs) and increase their porosity. The cages are connected by methylene bridges through electrophilic aromatic substitution reactions and formaldehyde. Pore-filling and coordinating solvents are then replaced or removed by low surface tension, noncoordinating solvents, resulting in the increased porosity of the MOCs. This method provides a simple and pragmatic approach to preserve the porosity of MOCs and extends their potential applications as functional porous materials.

Summary: China has made significant reductions in CO2 emissions, achieving objectives outlined in Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions and Nationally Determined Contributions. However, China still faces challenges in reaching peak CO2 emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060. Achieving these goals will require increasing non-fossil energy share, deploying negative-emission technologies, promoting low-carbon development regionally, and establishing a nationwide 'green market'.
