Summary: Recent studies have shown that bioflocculation using biosurfactant extracted from Candida stellata yeast can effectively flocculate ultrafine hematite particles, achieving a recovery rate of approximately 90% at pH 3.0. Analysis through FTIR and zeta potential studies revealed the adsorption of biosurfactant onto the surface of hematite, altering its surface properties.
