Xirong (Subrina) Shen et al.

Summary: This study examines how status dynamics in heterogeneous evaluator groups affect the evaluation of venture teams. BALANCING THE YIN AND YANG: TMT GENDER DIVERSITY, PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY, AND FIRM AMBIDEXTROUS STRATEGIC ORIENTATION IN CHINESE HIGH-TECH SMES

Shi Tang et al.

Summary: This paper provides a novel theoretical account of the strategic advantage of top management team (TMT) gender diversity, showing that TMT psychological safety mediates the effect of TMT gender diversity on firm ambidextrous strategic orientation (ASO), and that firm slack moderates this effect. The study conducted in Chinese high-tech small- and medium-sized enterprises reveals that TMT gender diversity positively influences ASO through TMT psychological safety, with a stronger effect when firm slack is lower.
