Preparation of Ti-MOFs for efficient adsorptive desulfurization: Synthesis, characterization, and adsorption mechanisms

Tianqing Zhou et al.

Summary: Improving catalysts' desulfurization capacity is crucial for environmental protection. NH2-MIL-125 material, a MOF material with good adsorption properties, was prepared using a hydrothermal method. The dried materials at different temperatures were analyzed using XRD, FT-IR, SEM, and physical adsorption. Experiment results showed that NH2-MIL-125@150 degrees C had the highest desulfurization capacity, followed by NH2-MIL-125@200 degrees C and NH2-MIL-125@250 degrees C, while NH2-MIL-125@110 degrees C had the lowest capacity.

Ag modification of SBA-15 and MCM-41 mesoporous materials as sorbents of thiophene

Yang Liu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the adsorption performance of silver-modified mesoporous materials in removing thiophenic compounds. The results show that the adsorption of thiophene by the sorbents involves S-Ag and pi complexation reactions, and the adsorption efficiency is greatly affected by benzene. XPS analysis reveals that silver interacts strongly with the carrier and forms Ag-O-Si bonds as the active centers for thiophenic compounds. The Mulliken charges of sulfur atoms have an impact on the interactions between silver and thiophene sulfur compounds.

The investigation of adsorption desulphurization performance using bimetallic Cu-Ce and Ni-Ce mesoporous Y zeolites: Modification of Y zeolite by H4EDTA-NaOH sequential treatment

Ghasem Dashtpeyma et al.

Summary: The microporous structure of Y zeolite strongly affects the function of adsorption desulphurization. This study aims to enhance the adsorption desulphurization performance of a novel bimetal Y zeolite with a hierarchically structured mesoporous sample. The results show that meso-NiCe significantly increases the adsorption capacity.

Preparation of bimetal modified HMS molecular sieve and its desulfurization performance mechanism

Xiaoli Song et al.

Summary: In this study, dodecylamine and ethyl orthosilicate were used to prepare HMS molecular sieves, which were further modified by Cu, Ce, and Cu/Ce. The Cu/Ce-HMS molecular sieve catalyst showed the highest desulfurization rate among the modified catalysts. Ultraviolet diffuse reflectance results indicated that Cu/Ce-HMS had enhanced photocatalytic performance and desulfurization efficiency.
