A nickel-catalyzed three-component alkylarylation reaction using alkenyl N-heteroarenes, alpha-bromocarboxylates, and aryl boronic acids has been developed. It provides a new strategy for the synthesis of N-heteroarene substituted diarylalkanes with moderate to good yields. The reaction conditions are mild and the catalyst is cheap, making it a practical and efficient method for accessing various alkylaryl compounds.
A nickel-catalyzed three-component alkylarylation of alkenyl N-heteroarenes with alpha-bromocarboxylates and aryl boronic acids is reported. The protocol provides a new method to access a variety of N-heteroarene substituted diarylalkanes in moderate to good yields. It features mild reaction conditions, cheap nickel catalyst, readily available substrates, and broad substrate scope.
