Nano cellulose extracted from pine needles exhibits appealing thermal and mechanical strength. Studying the magnetic properties of pine needles provides insights into air quality in the surrounding environment, and packaging materials made from pine needles have exceptional ethylene scavenging abilities.

Bioenergy routes for valorizing constructed wetland vegetation: An overview

Certain genera, such as Sorghum, Brassica, Miscanthus, and Saccharum, stand out in bioenergy applications. The relevance of bioenergy routes varies among different plant groups. Future research should focus on evaluating genera with high energy potential as wetland vegetation, and incorporating bioenergy applications into the design and implementation of constructed wetlands facilities.

Effect of chemical treatment of jute fiber on thermo-mechanical properties of jute and sheep wool fiber reinforced hybrid polypropylene composites

This study focuses on the preparation of a new hybrid composite by incorporating jute and sheep wool fibers into a polypropylene matrix using a hot press machine. The researchers chemically treated the jute fibers to increase compatibility with the sheep wool fibers and the polypropylene matrix. Mechanical, structural, thermal, and water absorption tests were conducted on the prepared composites. The results showed that the hybrid composite with jute fibers treated with neutral media diazonium salt and untreated sheep wool fibers exhibited the best mechanical properties, thermal stability, and lowest water absorption compared to other composites.

Effect of water absorption on the mechanical properties of bamboo/glass-reinforced polybenzoxazine hybrid composite

The interfacial bonding between fibers and matrix degraded significantly with water exposure, as observed through scanning electron microscope images.
