Widely Tunable Narrow Linewidth Dual-Wavelength Yb-Doped Fiber Laser With Inhomogeneous Polarization Output

Dongyang Liu et al.

Summary: We have demonstrated a widely tunable narrow linewidth dual-wavelength Yb-doped fiber laser with switchable inhomogeneous polarization output using Pancharatnam-Berry phase optical elements and volume Bragg grating experimentally. The laser can generate switchable radially and azimuthally polarized beams with tunable wavelength separation ranging from 0.4 nm to 68.2 nm by rotating the Glan laser polarizer. The delivered spectrum shows excellent stability and linewidth narrower than 0.08 nm, with high polarization extinction ratios for the radially and azimuthally polarized beams. This tunable narrow linewidth dual-wavelength laser has great potential in enhancing the manipulation capability of fiber lasers and benefiting applications like THz wave generation.

Tunable Brillouin-erbium fiber laser producing multiwavelength cylindrical vector beams

Jinghao Wang et al.

Summary: A multiwavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber laser that produces cylindrical vector beams with tunable central wavelength and wavelength spacing is presented. The laser achieves stable multiwavelength lasing by utilizing cascaded stimulated Brillouin scattering and wavelength selection of a fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer. By adjusting the optical delay line and the comb filter, multiwavelength lasing with different wavelength spacing is achieved.
