Four-Stage Linear Transformer Driver With Sharing Shell: EM Model, Simulation, and Performance

Xu He et al.

Summary: A four-stage fast linear transformer driver with sharing shell was constructed as a fundamental component of China's next-generation Z-pinch driver CZ34. SF6 was utilized instead of transformer oil as the insulating medium. A 3-D full-scale electromagnetic model was developed using field-circuit co-simulation method to investigate the electrical performance of the LTD module.

Modeling and analysis of a single-phase core-type transformer under inrush current and nonlinear load conditions

Huseyin Altun et al.

Summary: This paper developed a transformer model based on an equivalent electrical circuit considering the nonlinearity of the iron core, and analyzed the performance and hysteresis effects under different conditions. Simulation and experimental results demonstrated the operation of the transformer under nonlinear load conditions.

Determining the Residual Magnetic Flux Value of a Single-Phase Transformer Using a Minor Hysteresis Loop

Dragan Vulin et al.

Summary: This paper presents a laboratory setup and experimental procedure for determining the residual magnetic flux value of a single-phase transformer using a minor hysteresis loop. The proposed method allows for determining residual magnetic flux without physical intervention in the transformer, using only voltage and current measurements. The paper also discusses the pros and cons of the method, as well as plans for future research.
