Research on characteristic parameter selection and attention-GRU-based model for braking intention identification

Xuebo Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an identification model based on a Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) Network with Attention mechanism for accurate identification of braking intention, improved braking safety, and maximized energy recovery efficiency for electric vehicles. The model is trained and verified using vehicle braking test data, braking process analysis, and characteristic parameters selection. The attention mechanism is introduced to capture valuable feature information and improve identification accuracy. Comparative verification results show that the Attention-GRU model outperforms other comparison models, achieving an identification accuracy of 96.7% with accuracy rates for slight braking, normal braking, and emergency braking at 96.3%, 95.8%, and 100% respectively. The identified braking intention can serve as an effective basis for establishing vehicle control strategies.

Permanent Magnet Flux Linkage Analysis and Maximum Torque per Ampere (MTPA) Control of High Saturation IPMSM

Chengxu Li et al.

Summary: In this paper, an improved maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) control method for high saturation interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) is proposed. The conventional models of flux linkage and torque are improved by analyzing the nonlinear variation of the permanent magnet (PM) flux linkage with dq-axis currents. An expression suitable for MTPA control of high saturated IPMSM is derived based on the improved models. The proposed parameter fitting models are incorporated into the MTPA optimization algorithm to obtain the MTPA curve, and simulations and experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed method in enhancing the control accuracy of the MTPA angle.

A Closed-Loop PMSM Sensorless Control Based on the Machine Acoustic Noise

Amirhossein Malekipour et al.

Summary: In this article, a novel sensorless control for permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) using its radiated acoustic noise is proposed. The field formation within the airgap leading to the generation of radial forces and acoustic noise is extensively investigated. Distinctive sidebands around the injected frequency directly related to the fundamental synchronous frequency are observed in the experimental verification, depending on the machine structure. The proposed signal processing algorithm with self-adaptive band-pass filters effectively extracts the rotor position information from the distorted and environment-sensitive acoustic noise waveform.

Parameter Identification of Five-Phase Squirrel Cage Induction Motor Based on Extended Kalman Filter

Xiangyu Luo et al.

Summary: In recent years, there has been an increase in the use of multiphase electric drives in industrial applications. These machines have advantages over three-phase systems, making them suitable for harsh working conditions. To improve their reliability, some authors have developed sensorless control schemes where the absence of an encoder ensures proper system performance. However, these sensorless control systems face challenges due to parameter uncertainties. The use of extended Kalman filters helps overcome this by considering system and measurement errors in the estimation process. This study proposes an extended Kalman filter that decomposes the original state equation, reducing the complexity of the estimation stage and enhancing the overall phase-current quality by suppressing third-harmonic injection.
