Rigorous Sensor Model of Gaofen-7 Satellite Laser Altimeter Based on Coupled Footprint Camera

Shaoning Li et al.

Summary: The Gaofen-7 (GF-7) satellite system incorporates a footprint camera to ensure consistency between the laser altimeter and optical images. However, this introduces additional errors. This study analyzed the accuracy and errors of the laser altimeter and footprint camera, proposed a sensor model for laser geometric positioning, and analyzed error sources using simulation and GF-7 satellite data. Results showed that the positioning error of the GF-7 footprint camera is less than 5 m, making it suitable for stereo mapping.

Geo3o1: a tool for 3D georeferencing accuracy assessment of tri-stereo images by state-of-the-art sensor dependent orientation model

Huseyin Topan

Summary: We developed a tool for 3D georeferencing accuracy assessment of tri-stereo primary images of Pleiades 1A/1B/Neo, SPOT 6/7, and Gokturk-1, considering their private sensor-dependent orientation model in the MATLAB environment. The tool includes a two-step adjustment process to estimate the accuracy and analyze the efficiency and validation of exterior orientation parameters and correlation among interior and exterior orientation parameters.

Validation of preliminary geometric positioning accuracy for China's civil high-resolution surveying and mapping satellites: Ziyuan-3 01 and Gaofen-7 panchromatic imagery

Yuxuan Liu et al.

Summary: This study verified the positioning accuracy of ZY-3 01 and GF-7 panchromatic imagery during the early deployment of the satellites. By using geometric calibration model, self-calibrating bundle adjustment, and additional parameter model, the results showed significant improvement in positioning accuracy with few ground control points.
