The generation and stability of bulk nanobubbles by compression-decompression method: The role of dissolved gas

Wei Xu et al.

Summary: Nanoscale gas bubbles have significant applications in various fields, and their formation and stability are influenced by multiple factors. This study investigated the impact of dissolved gases on bulk nanobubbles for the first time, successfully producing high concentrations of bulk nanobubbles using a compression-decompression method. The results provide insights into the mechanism of formation and stability under super-high concentrations of dissolved gas, with potential applications in enhancing reaction efficiency.

Investigation of the effect of iron nanoparticles on n-dodecane combustion under external electrostatic fields

Efstratios M. Kritikos et al.

Summary: Reactive molecular dynamics simulations were conducted to investigate the combined effects of iron nanoparticles and external electrostatic fields on the combustion of n-dodecane. The results showed that iron nanoparticle additives significantly accelerated fuel and oxidizer consumption, demonstrating a catalytic behavior. The application of an external electrostatic field further increased the consumption rate and led to the formation of a anisotropic shell with varying chemical composition.

Heat Transfer Augmentation: Experimental Study with Nanobubbles Technology

Prudhvi Krishna Amburi et al.

Summary: Experimental research on heat transfer characteristics with distilled water-ethylene glycol heat transfer fluid (HTF) and the presence of micronanobubbles in the hot fluid was conducted. It was found that the presence of nanobubbles resulted in a higher heat transfer rate compared to the base HTF.

Numerical study of H-2, CH4, CO, O-2 and CO2 diffusion in water near the critical point with molecular dynamics simulation

Xiao Zhao et al.

Summary: This study investigates the diffusion coefficient of H-2, CH4, CO, O-2 and CO2 in water near the critical point using Molecular Dynamics simulation, discussing the main factors that determine the diffusion coefficient. An empirical equation is developed to successfully predict diffusion coefficient near the critical point with a low average absolute relative deviation. The equation shows the best accuracy and simplicity for extension and modification, outperforming other existing equations.

Superior thermal energy storage performance of NaCl-SWCNT composite phase change materials: A molecular dynamics approach

Yinsheng Yu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the thermal properties and microstructure of NaCl and single-walled carbon nanotubes (NaCl-SWCNT) based composite phase change materials using molecular dynamics simulation. The results show that the addition of SWCNT can effectively reduce the melting point of molten salts, increase thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity, but decrease melting enthalpy. These phenomena are attributed to the variation of atomic energy at the nanoscale.

Effect of CO2 nanobubbles incorporation on the viscosity reduction of fruit juice concentrate and vegetable oil

Khanh Phan et al.

Summary: The study found that injecting CO2 nanobubbles can significantly reduce the viscosity of apple juice concentrate and canola oil, making it a feasible mean to enhance processing efficiency of food fluids. The reduction effect on viscosities tended to diminish with the growth of NBs' size and the decrease of dissolved CO2 concentration over time.
