Separation of Ilmenite from Vanadium Titanomagnetite by Combining Magnetic Separation and Flotation Processes

Summary: The separation of ilmenite from VTM ore was studied using magnetic separation and flotation technologies. A concentrate with a TiO2 grade of 9.90% was obtained through weak magnetic separation and coarse particle tailing dumping. The grade was then increased to 14.32% through strong magnetic separation and floating separation of sulfur minerals. Finally, a TiO2 grade of 46.34% was achieved through closed-circuit flotation using mixed MOH/PG-1 collectors.

Current methods of nitrogen-doped carbon preparation have insufficient nitrogen content. In this research, a series of activated carbons derived from MOFs have been prepared with high nitrogen content and surface area, and they exhibit excellent adsorption capacity for CO2 and different carbon structures suitable for various applications.

Valorization of CO2 through the Synthesis of Cyclic Carbonates Catalyzed by ZIFs

Summary: One potential way to utilize CO2 is to react it with organic epoxides to produce cyclic carbonates. However, no efficient and selective heterogeneous catalyst has been discovered yet. In this study, cobalt and zinc-based zeolitic imidazole frameworks (ZIFs) were explored as catalysts for this reaction. Modified ZIF-8 and ZIF-67 catalysts were prepared and showed excellent catalytic performance in the cycloaddition of CO2 with epichlorohydrin. Notably, these reactions occurred under mild conditions without the need for co-catalysts.

Ultrasonic assisted dispersive-solid phase extraction for preconcentration of trace metals in wastewater samples

The results were precise and reliable, offering a new approach for heavy metal analysis in wastewater samples.

New route for the synthesis of Co-MOF from metal substrates

In situ metal oxidation during synthesis is challenging, with acid etching being a possible method. Co MOF can possibly be prepared by this method, with Co MOFs (ZIF-67 and MOF-71) showing similar properties to those from oxidized metal sources.
