Yeast-Hydrolysate-Derived 1-Methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline-3-carboxylic Acid Inhibits Fat Accumulation during Adipocyte Differentiation

Nari Kim et al.

Summary: This study investigated the impact and mechanism of yeast hydrolysate (YH) on lipogenesis and identified the active compound responsible for its anti-adipogenic effects. The results showed that YH effectively suppressed adipogenic lipid storage by downregulating specific genes, and 1.1 μg/mL of MTCA exhibited significant inhibitory effects on the target genes.

Selenium-Rich Yeast Peptide Fraction Ameliorates Imiquimod-Induced Psoriasis-like Dermatitis in Mice by Inhibiting Inflammation via MAPK and NF-κB Signaling Pathways

Hengke Guo et al.

Summary: The study found that selenium-rich yeast peptide fraction (SeP) could significantly alleviate imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like dermatitis in mice, and inhibit the expression of inflammatory cytokines. Mechanistically, SeP exerted its effects by inhibiting the activation of MAPK and NF-kappa B signaling pathways.

Carboxymethyl-glucan from Saccharomyces cerevisiae reduces blood pressure and improves baroreflex sensitivity in spontaneously hypertensive rats

Lorena Soares Bezerra et al.

Summary: It was found that oral administration of CMG influenced weight gain and cholesterol levels, significantly reduced urea in hypertensive animals, decreased blood pressure levels and cardiac hypertrophy, improved baroreflex response, and reduced the influence of sympathetic tone. The results demonstrated the antihypertensive effect of CMG through improvement in baroreflex sensitivity via sympathetic tone modulation.
