Impact of the digital economy on high-quality urban economic development: Evidence from Chinese cities

Research on Ecological Protection and High-Quality Development of the Lower Yellow River Based on System Dynamics

Spatial correlation network of pollution and carbon emission reductions coupled with high-quality economic development in three Chinese urban agglomerations

Summary: China's objective to achieve peak carbon by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, along with the strategy of realizing high-quality economic flows, are crucial for transitioning towards ecological, green, and low-carbon development. Through our research on three major urban agglomerations in China, namely Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta, from 2010 to 2019, we found that the coupling coordination between pollution and carbon reductions and economic quality displayed a fluctuating upward trend. The spatial distribution changed from dispersed to centralised and uniform, with intense inter-urban connections dominated by central cities or developed cities.

Coupling coordination between new urbanisation and carbon emissions in China

Coupling driving factors of eco-environmental protection and high-quality development in the yellow river basin

The coupled driving factors of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin are ranked from strong to weak as energy utilization, urbanization, water resources development, and industrialization, with energy utilization being the main differentiator in coupling coordination levels.

Understanding the relation between the socio-economic development and CO2 emission of 76 contracting countries in The Paris Agreement
