Summary: Environmental policies in developing nations have not adequately considered the role of environmentally friendly innovation. There is a strong interdependence between green innovation and long-term financial performance. While many studies have examined the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on environmental sustainability, relatively few have explored the implications of green innovation strategies and sustainability. A study conducted on 184 businesses listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) across 12 industries found that CSR activities, except for one aspect targeting customers, had a significant positive impact on fostering environmentally sustainable growth. Sustainable development also mediates the relationship between green innovation and its impact, further emphasizing the importance of CSR practices in enhancing a sustainable environment.
