Optimizing communication and computational resource allocations in network slicing using twin-GAN-Based DRL for 5G hybrid C-RAN

Yuh-Shyan Chen et al.

Summary: Network slicing is an important feature and function for 5G networks. In this paper, a new machine learning scheme called Twin-GAN-based DRL (TGDRL) is proposed to jointly allocate wireless bandwidth resources and computational resources using two GAN-based DRLs. The main contribution of TGDRL scheme is to simultaneously investigate bandwidth allocation and computational resource allocation, improving spectrum efficiency and reducing computational resource consumption. Simulation results show that our proposed scheme achieves improvements of 10.2% in total delay, 15.7% in spectral efficiency, and 12.8% in computational consumption compared to existing schemes.
