The socio-demographic and lifestyle characteristics associated with quality of life among diabetic patients in Lebanon: a cross- sectional study

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the sociodemographic factors associated with the quality of life among the Lebanese population with diabetes. The findings showed that diabetes had a negative impact on quality of life, and certain sociodemographic factors such as monthly income and educational level along with clinical parameters like HbA1c were associated with lower quality of life among Lebanese diabetic patients.

The findings indicate that diabetes significantly moderates the association between Neuroticism and SRH. Personality traits predict SRH differently in people with and without diabetes.

Personality and substance use disorder: Characteristics as measured by NEO-personality inventory-revised

These findings are important for understanding the personality traits of these patients.

Summary: This study assessed the HRQoL profiles and associated factors among stroke survivors in Malaysia. Common health problems included mobility, usual activities, pain/discomfort, anxiety/depression, and self-care. Factors associated with HRQoL dimensions included malnutrition risk, wheelchair use, speech impairment, number of stroke episodes, body mass index, physical activity level, and age. Routine malnutrition screening, tailored speech therapy programs, prevention of stroke recurrence, and promotion of physical activity should be reinforced in rehabilitation interventions to improve HRQoL among stroke survivors.
