Hybrid data-driven method for low-carbon economic energy management strategy in electricity-gas coupled energy systems based on transformer network and deep reinforcement learning

Bin Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, a model-free deep-reinforcement-learning method is integrated into the low-carbon economic autonomous energy management system of an electricity-gas coupled energy system (EGCES) to minimize carbon trading and generation costs. The proposed method, called transformer-deep deterministic policy gradient (TDDPG), combines the feature extraction ability of the transformer network with the decision-making ability of TDDPG. Simulation results show that TDDPG outperforms other examined deep-reinforcement-learning approaches in optimizing low-carbon and economy targets, computation efficiency, and optimization of the results.

Robust optimal scheduling for integrated energy systems based on multi-objective confidence gap decision theory

Yingchao Dong et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a multiobjective bi-level confidence gap decision theory robust model for the robust scheduling of integrated energy systems (IES). A neural network-based surrogate model is used to construct a confidence interval uncertainty set. The results of a case study show that the proposed method improves economic costs and reduces computation time compared to robust optimization and stochastic optimization.

Distributionally robust optimal dispatch of CCHP campus microgrids considering the time-delay of pipelines and the uncertainty of renewable energy

Weikun Liang et al.

Summary: A distributionally robust optimal dispatch model is established for campus microgrids, considering the time-delay of energy transmission and uncertainty of renewable energy. The method of characteristics is used to solve the partial differential equation, while a min-max bi-level DRO dispatch model is proposed based on an ambiguity set describing the uncertainty of RE outputs. The study also introduces an alternative iteration method for solving the bilevel model efficiently.

Stochastic economic dispatch of regional integrated energy system considering the pipeline dynamics using improved approximate dynamic programming

Weikun Liang et al.

Summary: This study proposes a method to solve the economic dispatch problem in regional integrated energy systems (RIES), taking into account the pipeline dynamics and using the method of characteristics and data-driven techniques to achieve high computational accuracy. In addition, a stochastic multiple energy storage model considering the pipeline dynamics is established, and an improved approximate dynamic programming algorithm is proposed to efficiently solve this model. Test results on an actual RIES demonstrate the correctness and efficiency of the proposed methods.

Stochastic optimal dispatching strategy of electricity-hydrogen-gas-heat integrated energy system based on improved spectral clustering method

Zixin Wang et al.

Summary: The coupling and interaction among multi-energy resources in an integrated energy system improves renewable energy utilization and reduces carbon emissions. Hydrogen is seen as a highly potential energy carrier due to its excellent characteristics, making it a hot topic in the field. However, most research on power to gas technology do not fully utilize the advantages of hydrogen, resulting in low efficiency.
