Application of boron-doped diamond electrode for rapid and sensitive voltammetric detection of vildagliptin in anionic surfactant medium

Yalcin Altunkaynak et al.

Summary: The electrochemical evaluation of vildagliptin was investigated using square wave and cyclic voltammetry methods in solutions with and without surfactant. Anionic surfactant positively affected the boron-doped diamond electrode surface after anodic pretreatment. Vildagliptin exhibited an irreversible wave at around + 1.28 V in the Britton-Robinson buffer (containing 0.5 mM SDS, pH 11.0) medium.

Electrochemical evaluation and determination of vindesine used in cancer chemotherapy at disposable pencil graphite electrode by voltammetric method

Gunay Onal et al.

Summary: The electrochemical properties and detection of vindesine on disposable pencil graphite electrode were studied using cyclic voltammetry and square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry at different pH and supporting electrolyte medium. The proposed voltammetric method showed a strong correlation between the anodic signal and the concentration in the range of 0.146-1.46 mu M in BR pH 11.0 media [I-p (mu A) = 3.475 C (mu M) + 0.063 (r = 0.997, n = 10)]. The developed voltammetric method was successfully used for the analysis of the pharmaceutical drug.

Edoxaban Versus Low-Molecular-Weight Heparin in Hospitalized COVID-19 Patients With Atrial Fibrillation

Pavel Olivera et al.

Summary: During the first wave of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, anticoagulation therapy for hospitalized AF patients was simplified to LMWH followed by oral anticoagulation due to drug-drug interactions. However, different oral anticoagulants have varying risks. This study found that edoxaban and LMWH followed by oral anticoagulation showed similar therapeutic effects and complications in AF patients, but edoxaban led to shorter hospital stays.
