EEG Conformer: Convolutional Transformer for EEG Decoding and Visualization

Yonghao Song et al.

Summary: In this paper, a compact Convolutional Transformer called EEG Conformer is proposed to capture both local and global features for EEG classification. The model consists of convolution module, self-attention module, and a simple classifier module, and a visualization strategy is devised for interpretability. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed method achieves state-of-the-art performance on multiple public datasets.

Cross-subject aesthetic preference recognition of Chinese dance posture using EEG

Jing Li et al.

Summary: This paper constructs a cross-subject aesthetic preference recognition model of Chinese dance posture and verifies its feasibility through experiments, achieving objective aesthetic measurement in dance appreciation. The experimental results show that the occipital and frontal lobes are more activated in the visual aesthetic processing of Chinese dance posture, and the right brain is more involved.

A novel transferability attention neural network model for EEG emotion recognition

Yang Li et al.

Summary: The traditional methods for EEG emotion recognition face limitations as not all EEG samples are suitable for training models, and some brain region data may even have negative effects on learning emotional classification models. Therefore, this paper proposes a new transferable attention neural network (TANN) method, which achieves better emotion recognition by highlighting EEG brain regions data and samples with strong transferability.
