This study successfully prepared a stable MOF catalyst with high stability and efficiency. The catalyst can efficiently degrade ofloxacin in a short period of time and demonstrates good recycling stability.
As a kind of effective catalyst, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) still face the problem of instability. Con-structing stable MOFs can lower the metal leakage during catalytic application and improve their recyclability. Herein, a lamellate Co-MOF was successfully prepared with two-dimensional (2D) CoOX as precursor. With the densely stacked layers, the obtained material exhibits a high stability and efficiency in ofloxacin (OFL) degra-dation as an advanced oxidation process (AOP) catalyst. The total removal efficiency of Co-MOF can reach 96.2% within 10 min with the related kinetic constant of 0.0713 min-1. Remarkably, the Co leakage of our material is only 0.17 ppm after reaction, which is much lower than that of the control MOF prepared by Co salt (0.72 ppm). After reused for five times, the degradation efficiency of Co-MOF can still achieve 91.2%, which further demonstrates its recycling stability in catalytic degradation of OFL. This work provides a new insight to prepare stable MOF-based material with a certain precursor. The obtained MOF exhibits a potential as the catalyst with high stability, controllable morphology and high catalytic activity.
