Cytochrome c-multiwalled carbon nanotube and cobalt metal organic framework/gold nanoparticle immobilized electrochemical biosensor for nitrite detection

Shan Huang et al.

Summary: An electrochemical biosensor utilizing Cyt c-MWCNTs and Co-MOFs/AuNPs was proposed for the detection of nitrite, demonstrating excellent performance and signal amplification. The immobilization of Cyt c-MWCNTs on Co-MOFs and AuNPs via surface layer assembly provided a platform with large surface area and high conductivity, leading to outstanding electrochemical properties. This biosensor showed a linear range from 0.005 to 1000 mu mol L-1 with a detection limit of 0.0044 mu mol L-1 for nitrite detection, and exhibited excellent selectivity in real samples.
