Summary: ChatGPT is an AI tool that assists in various tasks and can be used in a conversational manner. This study aimed to develop a model that predicts the adoption and use of ChatGPT among higher education students. Based on a previous theory, seven predictors were selected to build the model, and the data analysis was conducted using partial-least squares method. The model was reliable and valid, with the results based on self-reported data from 534 students. Nine out of ten hypotheses were confirmed, highlighting the importance of habit, performance expectancy, and hedonic motivation in predicting behavioral intention.
