What Is the Role of Questioning in Young Children's Fluency?

Summary: The study aimed to compare the fluency of children's answers to questions and non-answer utterances to evaluate whether it is necessary to recommend caregivers to reduce question-asking behavior. The results showed that children who stutter are less likely to exhibit stuttering-like disfluencies when answering questions, while children who do not stutter are more likely to be disfluent when answering questions.
