The effect of vanadium content on hierarchical martensite structure and yield strength of petroleum casing steels

Huaying Li et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigated the influence of V content and tempering temperature on the precipitation behavior and yield strength of petroleum casing steels. The results showed that V content could increase yield strength, while tempering temperature caused a three-stage decrease in yield strength.

On the austenite stability of cryogenic Ni steels: microstructural effects: a review

W. X. Zhang et al.

Summary: Austenite stability is crucial for improving the cryogenic toughness of cryogenic Ni steels, with factors such as enrichment of austenite-stabilizing elements, grain refinement, and volume fraction of austenite playing key roles. Mechanical stability is also influenced by factors such as grain orientation and dislocation multiplication, impacting the effectiveness of enhancing cryogenic toughness.
