Contemporary literature aims to be connected with the world and focuses on social transformation and building relationships. It seeks to address the issue of loneliness in modern society through empathy and community building.
Contemporary literature aims to be in touch with the world. It is oriented towards the future and the transformation of society, and has renounced the ideology of aesthetic autonomy. On the contrary, relationships are at the heart of writers' work: Accessing the other through empathy, rebuilding links, creating communities, bridging the distance that man has created with the environment and other living beings. Literature promises a genuine politics of relationship in reaction to a society in which fluid, competitive individualistic solitude has become the norm.
