Epidemiology of scoliosis in cerebral palsy: A population-based study at skeletal maturity

Kate L. Willoughby et al.

Summary: The study found that scoliosis is very common in young people with cerebral palsy, with 41% of individuals having a Cobb angle greater than 10 degrees. The severity of scoliosis was strongly associated with GMFCS and MACS levels, as well as dystonic movement disorders. Severe curves were primarily found in non-ambulant individuals functioning at GMFCS IV and V levels.
