A relatively wide-ranged correlation of saturated flow boiling heat transfer within narrow rectangular channel for water

Summary: A campaign of tests was conducted to study the saturated boiling heat transfer characteristics of water in a narrow rectangular channel. The study found that nucleate boiling and forced convective evaporation were the dominant mechanisms during different phases of saturated flow boiling. Based on the test data, a new correlation for the saturated boiling heat transfer was proposed, which had better accuracy than previous correlations. The correlation can be used to predict the heat transfer coefficient over a wide range of heat flux, mass flux, and pressures.
