A computationally fast and accurate procedure for the identification of the Chaboche isotropic-kinematic hardening model parameters based on strain-controlled cycles and asymptotic ratcheting rate

C. Santus et al.

Summary: The study proposes an optimization method based on fitting the global properties of the cyclic curves to experimental data to determine the stress-strain behavior of materials under multiaxial cyclic loadings. The method provides an accurate description of the material behavior at a low computational cost. Experimental tests on various materials demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Phenomenological Modeling of Deformation-Induced Anisotropic Hardening Behaviors: A Review

Huachao Yang et al.

Summary: This paper reviews the phenomenological modeling of deformation-induced anisotropic hardening behaviors. The deformation-induced hardening behaviors are introduced along with relevant experiments. This paper emphasizes modeling by generalizing the main mathematical modeling ideas among various hardening models and sorting out the description methods for the decomposed anisotropic hardening behaviors. Some prospective development directions for the modeling of anisotropic hardening behaviors are suggested.

Jagtar Singh et al.

Summary: The present study investigates the influence of tensile pre-strain histories and strain ratio on the cyclic deformation behavior of 6061 aluminum alloy and 2024 aluminum alloy. The results indicate that the material exhibits cyclic strain-softening behavior, with the degree of softening increasing with higher strain ratios and lower strain amplitudes.

Identification of Chaboche-Lemaitre combined isotropic-kinematic hardening model parameters assisted by the fuzzy logic analysis

M. Wojcik et al.

Summary: A fuzzy logic-based approach is proposed to analyze severe plastic deformation problems, focusing on the calibration of hardening parameters in material models. Experimental data from tension-compression tests were used to estimate the material's hardening parameters, and an optimization method was applied to improve the fitting of numerical and experimental results. The fuzzy analysis enhanced the convergence between experimental and numerical stress-strain curves by considering imprecisions and uncertainties in input parameters.

Optimized low-cycle fatigue behavior and fracture characteristics of Ti-6Al-4V alloy by Fe microalloying

Yangyang Sun et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigates the low cycle fatigue behavior and fracture characteristics of Ti-6Al-4V-0.55Fe alloy with bimodal microstructure. The alloy exhibits continuous softening behavior at both high and low strain amplitudes, with different crack initiation sites and fatigue striation characteristics observed at different strain amplitudes. The LCF life of Ti-6Al-4V-0.55Fe is similar to that of Ti-6Al-4V at high strain amplitudes and much higher at low strain amplitudes due to the extra resistance provided by Fe microalloying.
