Temperature dependence of the local field effect in YAG:Ce3+ nanocomposites

Anjun Huang et al.

Summary: The spontaneous emission rate of a chromophore in a nanoparticle is influenced by the modification of the electric field in its environment. Utilization of temperature variation to modify refractive index allows for a more comprehensive testing of theoretical models. The lifetimes of Ce3+ ions in different alcohols at varying temperatures were measured, revealing different behaviors based on dopant concentrations.
