Efficacy of porous foam on discharging of phase change material with inclusion of hybrid nanomaterial

M. Sheikholeslami

Summary: The influence of porous media on the solidification of water with hybrid nanoparticles has been simulated in this study. A tree-shaped fin and the impact of radiation were utilized to expedite the process. The hybrid nanomaterial consisted of a mixture of Al2O3 and CuO with a volume fraction of 0.01 for each powder type, making the homogeneous mixture approximation logical. A wiremesh packed approach was used to model the porous foam, and the impact of porosity on the freezing process was analyzed. The temperature equation, including two source terms for radiation and phase changing, was considered, and the Galerkin method was implemented for solving the equations.

Lijun Zhang et al.

Summary: The physical behavior of a nanofluid composed of kerosene and tantalum and nickel nanoparticles propagating through a porous, elastic surface was studied. Results show that the flow propagates faster for higher values of Darcy number and Tantalum nanoparticles, with the magnetic field opposing the fluid motion. The presence of Tantalum and Nickel nanoparticles also leads to a decrease in the thermal boundary layer.

Summary: This paper presents computational analyses of the peristaltic motion of nanofluids through a porous medium. The study reveals that the viscous dissipation coefficient affects the temperature, nanofluid concentration, and system entropy. Moreover, the average nanoparticle parameter has a positive influence on temperature gradients, and an increase in the heat generation parameter enhances peristaltic convective transport of the nanofluid.

A comparative fractional study to evaluate thermal performance of NaAlg-MoS2-Co hybrid nanofluid subject to shape factor and dual ramped conditions

Talha Anwar et al.

Summary: In this study, two different fractional models were formulated to analyze the flow patterns and thermal behavior of sodium alginate-based hybrid nanofluids. The addition of molybdenum disulfide and cobalt nanoparticles was found to enhance the thermal performance of NaAlg, while factors such as thermal radiation, shape factor of nanoparticles, and heat injection/suction also influenced the heat transfer process. Numerical simulations and comparative analysis concluded that the AB fractional derivative was more suitable for describing flow patterns and temperature fields.
